New York based  Isram World tours was recently given the green light by the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control, the entity charged with supervising the US embargo on Cuba, in order to start niche tourism from the US to the Island, within the framework of Washington’s policy of promoting “people to people” contacts with Cuba. Journalist Alex Rivero interviewed Arthur Berman, Vice President of the South American Division of Isram World Tours, who explained his company's novel approach in organizing specialty travel to Cuba, specifically for the LGBT and the Jewish communities in the US.
